shouldbesettoobtainanIPaddressfromaDHCPserver(i.e.router)automatically.ToverifyyourIPaddress,pleasefollowthe

steps below.

• ClickonStart > Run.Intherunbox,typecmd and click OK.

• Attheprompt,typeipcong and press Enter.

• ThiswilldisplaytheIPaddress,subnetmask,andthedefaultgatewayofyouradapter.

7/Windows Vista

Users

• ClickStart > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt. You may need

administrative access to run this application.

• For all additional prompt windows inquiringof running the command prompt

application,selectYes,OK,orContinue.

• Attheprompt,typeipcong and press Enter.

• ThiswilldisplaytheIPaddress,subnetmask,anddefaultgatewayofyouradapter.

Iftheaddressis0.0.0.0,checkyouradapterinstallation,securitysettings,andthesettingsonyourrouter.Somerewallsoftwareprogramsmay

block a DHCP request on newly installed adapters.
