Home Page

The Home page contains a diagram with icons indicating the statuses of various functions and connections.

• Click on an icon with an next to it to start a wizard for that function.

• Click on the to congure your Internet connection.

Note: If the link is showing a , it means you are currently connected to the Internet. If you are not connected, refer to ”Internet Connection” on page 18.

The Internet icon indicates the status of the Internet connection to the router. When it is gray there is no connection.

It will be blue when a connection is established.

The Router icon indicates the status of the Wi-Fi security on the DIR-508L. It is gray when it is unsecured. It will be blue when your

Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password have been set.

The Wi-Fi Clients icon indicates when there are clients currently connected to the router via Wi-Fi. It will be blue when there are

active connections.

The USB Storage icon will be blue if you are currently connected to a USB storage device.

The SD Card icon will be blue if you have inserted an SD card.
